DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAYC Member Exclusive!  Come join professional instructors Captains Andy and Lisa Batchelor of Kinetic Sailing for a two-part\, 1 hour each\, zoom webinar on Tuesday\, June 16 and Thursday\, June 18 at 5:30pm.  Andy and Lisa\, with their experience\, skill\, and wit will help you vastly improve your docking techniques\, close-quarters maneuvering\, crew interaction onboard\, and feel much more confident in a variety of docking and mooring situations. Take the stress out of docking and have a better summer overall! \nThe session will focus on monohull sailboats\, but it will involve techniques and skills relevant to all boaters. This seminar explains how a boat’s individual characteristics affect maneuverability under power\, and how you can use those features to your advantage. Learn to assess the local conditions\, decide upon and communicate a plan of action. Learn how to use to use spring-lines and transits to counter the effects of wind and current. We’ll explore a number of techniques to overcome the most common docking and mooring challenges. \nAs we all spend more time with family (and hopefully friends) onboard this summer\, this seminar with its short sessions is a perfect way to add ease to your docking. \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n\n
