DESCRIPTION:Join Kinetic Sailing for an offshore passage to the Caribbean\, sailing from Solomons\, Maryland to St Martin\, French West Indies onboard the Outbound 46 Kinetic. We’ll sail south down the Chesapeake Bay\, then head out into the Atlantic to cross the Gulf Stream and continue Southeast to the Caribbean\, arriving to St Martin’s French port of Marigot. \nInstruction includes advanced sail theory and trim\, weather systems and forecasting\, sail inventory\, advanced coastal navigation\, heavy weather preparation and skills\, night sailing\, watchstanding\, emergency procedures\, systems and engineering\, underway meal prep and much more. ASA 106 Advanced Coastal Cruising (Coastal Passagemaking) certification is available to qualified candidates. \nFees include onboard meals and beverages\, instruction\, certification fees\, ships operating costs and port fees. Transportation to and from Kinetic are your responsibility; flights from St Martin (SXM) are frequent and inexpensive. \nWhether you’re onboard for a certification or simply to further your skills and experience an ocean passage\, you’ll be actively involved in all aspects of this passage\, for an experience like no other! \n
