DESCRIPTION:\nJoin Kinetic Sailing for an offshore passage to the Caribbean\, sailing from Solomons\, Maryland to Antigua\, West Indies onboard the Outbound 46 Kinetic. We’ll sail south down the Chesapeake Bay\, then head out into the Atlantic to cross the Gulf Stream and continue Southeast to the Caribbean\, arriving in Antigua.  The 1600 nm passage takes 11-14 days. \nInstruction includes advanced sail theory and trim\, weather systems and forecasting\, sail inventory\, advanced coastal navigation\, heavy weather preparation and skills\, night sailing\, watchstanding\, emergency procedures\, systems and engineering\, underway meal prep and much more. ASA 106 Advanced Coastal Cruising (Coastal Passagemaking) or ASA 108 (Ocean Passagemaking) certification is available to qualified candidates. \nFees include onboard meals and beverages\, instruction\, certification fees\, ships operating costs and port fees.
