DESCRIPTION:After you’ve experienced bareboat cruising or flotillas\, coastal passagemaking and night sailing is the next natural step in your sailing continuum. Join Kinetic Sailing for a passage from historic Mystic CT to Solomons MD to onboard the Outbound 46 Kinetic. After departing Block Island Sound\, we’ll sail southwest along the Atlantic seaboard\, enter the Chesapeake Bay at Cape Charles\, sailing 90 nm north on the Chesapeake to Solomons. Instruction includes advanced sail theory and trim\, weather systems and forecasting\, sail inventory\, advanced coastal navigation\, heavy weather preparation and skills\, night sailing\, watchstanding\, emergency procedures\, systems and engineering\, underway meal prep and much more. Fees include onboard meals and beverages\, instruction\, ships operating costs and port fees.  ASA 106 Advanced Coastal Cruising (Coastal Passagemaking) certification is available to qualified candidates at a nominal additional fee. Whether you’re onboard for a certification or simply to further your skills\, you’ll be actively involved in all aspects of this passage\, for an experience like no other! \n \n
