S/V KINETIC offshore

Join Kinetic Sailing for an offshore ocean passage from Solomons, Maryland to Stonington, Connecticut onboard the Outbound 46 KINETIC.

Instruction includes advanced sail theory and trim, weather systems and forecasting, sail inventory,  coastal and celestial navigation, heavy weather preparation and skills, night sailing, watchstanding, emergency procedures, systems and engineering, underway meal prep and much more. ASA 106 Coastal Passagemaking or ASA 108 Ocean Passagemaking certification is available to qualified candidates.

Fees include onboard meals and beverages, instruction, ship’s operating costs and port fees.  Modest ASA certification fees are additional. Transportation to and from KINETIC is your responsibility; logistics details will be provided.

Whether you’re onboard for a certification or simply to further your skills and experience an ocean passage, you’ll be actively involved in all aspects of this passage, for an experience like no other!
